Meanwhile on Sakaar…. they taking it badly? Yup. LDM is in full panic mode and Welibers is saying he is going to delete Sakaar soon!

Chalice_Of_Evil I have mixed feelings on this trailer. This isn't the MCU Spider-Man 3 I wanted. I thought they had enough going for a third movie with Pete being framed for murder at the end of Far From Home, so this all feels superfluous in a way that only benefits Sony. I'm afraid I'm the opposite. I never had any interested in the first two Holland SM films, which is why I waited for them to be on TV - I just recorded them and watched the recordings. I haven't really liked anything about the new SM films, but unlike most I wasn't particularly fond of the Maguire SM films either. As I've mentioned previously, the only two SM films I enjoyed were the Garfield TASM films - which I'm well aware in an 'unpopular' opinion (another 'unpopular' opinion? I just watched Far From Home on TV recently and I actually tolerated it more than Homecoming). Anyway, reading the spoilers for the film and seeing the teaser trailer prove at least some of them are true - this might be the first of the Holland SM films that actually has me half-interested. I'm even contemplating seeing it at theatre (which I never would've dreamed of before since these films have interested me so little). However, I've liked a few MCU films from the past that I felt got 'missed up' by introducing things into them that I didn't want and those ruined them for me. So, I can understand things from your perspective even if I'm not in agreement with it. I'm pretty intrigued too. I wasn't for the last couple. The version of Spiderman they chose for the MCU wasn't my preferred, despite the fact Tom Holland does a really good job and his chemistry with Downy Jr. is otherworldly. Spiderman: Homecoming (I thought) was okay, and Far From Home was a little better than the first and better than I expected, even though I didn't see it in a theater. Compared to the rest of the MCU, Far From Home felt like a post-credit scene.
Still I think this one looks neat. I'm especially intrigued to understand how/why the returning villains are still alive.
I'd be curious to give the TASM films a try. I never got around to them before.

Wow, someone is overreacting. I'm not crazy about this development, either, but I don't think for even a second that this will destroy the MCU.

Trailer is imminent! Cant wait to see DeFoo’s Gobbler return! Someone tell the boys at Sakaar to hold onto their collective butts! In case anyone is wondering, I will be seeing this when it comes out. The MCU has gained enough trust over the years that this won't scare me off, as I stated in another post. This might not be the MCU Spider-Man 3 I wanted, but Captain America: Civil War wasn't the Cap 3 I wanted, and that worked out.

It’s not what you wanted and you’re not sure you’ll like it. That’s perfectly understandable and reasonable. But you’re not quitting the fandom over one movie. I really don’t get the Sakaar meltdown. Ill tell you, I wasn’t big on the Guardians for the longest time and I did not want them to be in Avengers 3-4. I was even kind of stubborn about it. But the characters really grew on me and now I’m a big fan of the cosmic side of the MCU.

Yeah, the MCU is going to have to produce at least three films in a row that I utterly detest before I consider ceasing to keep up with the series. Quitting the fandom, though. Nah, if you punks haven't scared me off yet, you'll never be rid of me. Your story about the Guardians is basically how I felt about Civil War before it was released. I hate that particular story in the comics. Hate it hate it hate it. There was so much character assassination of so many Marvel Comics mainstays in that one! And it was the start of Marvel Comic's current trend of shitting all over Steve Rogers. It was such a relief when it didn't suck.

Tobey Maguire coming back I can understand for a live-action Spiderverse movie, because he's Spider-Man's Christopher Reeve for so many people. Andrew Garfield's return is a mystery to me, and I hope that it amounts to more than just a punchline about how "TASM sucked". If the goal here is to give Amazing!Spider-Man a satisfactory conclusion and Garfield a much better script than Amazing Spider-Man 2, then sure.

But I see what you mean. TASM wasn’t as universally loved so it did surprise me that they’re bringing him back along with at least two of his villains (Lizard is in the trailer in case you missed it). I have no doubt he will be treated respectfully though.

They have made many... questionable... decisions since 2010 and haven't ever really stopped.

As someone who has question some creative decisions made by Marvel Studios in the past, i never took it so seriously that i wanted to delete my account or anything. So the fact that Wellibers is actually willing to do that is pretty fucking crazy.
I don't know what to expect with Spider-Man No Way Home, all i can hope is that we get a good Spider-Man movie, regardless if it's a Spider-Verse film or not.
That being said...
Alfred Molina LOOKS GOOD! in the trailer. I'd love some of that De-Ageing stuff he's using!!!
