One the N64’s best. Innit or it innit? 🐻🐤 I never finished the game, but I did quite enjoy it. My memories of it are very vague, but I remember liking the humour in it - such as the ability to transform Bango into a washing machine (at least I think that was one of the options. Maybe it was one of the 'cheats'? I can't remember, since I played it SO long ago) and if I quit the game, I think it showed that thinks didn't end well for Banjo's sister (though the witch got kinda hot). Rewatching^ that reminded me of one thing I DIDN'T like about the game, and that was the characters just making questionable sounds/noises when they spoke instead of actually speaking words. I likened the game to Super Mario 64 (though I actually finished Super Mario 54, unlike this game - not that it was the game's fault. I just got stuck at a certain point and never got around to picking up where I left off with it). One thing I DO remember is the opening of the game being somewhat annoying, but also kind of funny at the same time (hillbilly music!). Ah, memories.

The washing machine transformation is actually in the sequel, Banjo Tooie. So maybe you played them both? I do like the bizarre voice samples though. They’re hilarious! Banjo: AR AR AR AR ARA ARA AR AR ARA AR AR! 🐻 Kazooie: GARA GARA GARBA GABA GARA GARA! 🐔

Banjo: AR AR AR AR ARA ARA AR AR ARA AR AR! 🐻 Kazooie: GARA GARA GARBA GABA GARA GARA! 🐔 Ah. Thanks for clarifying. I thought maybe I was misremembering and it turns out that was indeed the case. I never actually played the sequel, but I think I saw the Bango-as-washing-machine thing in one of the N64 magazines I used to get, which is how I knew about it. As for the weird noises they made - I don't think I minded Banjo's noises so much, it was more the witch who I found annoying (except when she turned 'hot', then she made sounds you wouldn't expect to hear in a kids game ).

It's probably #10 on my top, but yes, one of the best.
